There seem to be two types of projects that do really well online. The first type is a really easy project that anyone can do, like a pumpkin tower using faux pumpkins. It makes you feel great because you can actually make it no matter your creative abilities. The second is a super complicated and involved project that has huge impact when it's finished. But a lot of the time people share those more difficult projects as something they'd love to do, but realistically would never actually tackle. Me personally, I love the first type. Quick, easy and totally doable for everyone.
Thus today's project – the pumpkin tower made with faux pumpkins from Micheals. You can literally put it together in 5-10 minutes. And if you choose the right faux pumpkins, it can be really beautiful!
How to make a rustic pumpkin tower using faux pumpkins
The first step to this project is to choose pumpkins that look realistic. A few years ago I did the same project, but chose the most basic of pumpkins. It looked good, but I definitely prefer this version. Of course, I chose my pumpkins at Michaels. The Fall Harvest Market at Michaels has everything you need to MAKE it Feel Like Fall!
- 3-4 faux pumpkins
- hot glue and hot glue gun
1. Decide in which order your pumpkins will be stacked. Play with the stack a bit to be sure you like it.
2. Remove the stems on all but the top pumpkin. This should be pretty easy to do if your pumpkins are coated foam like mine were. If they're not, you may have to cut the stems off with a handsaw or knife.
3. Using hot glue, attach your pumpkins to each other one at a time to form your pre-arranged stack.
Then style with all your fall decor! (Next week I'll be sharing the rest of our entryway space, so be sure to come back and see!)
