One of my favorite foods in the whole world is fresh Guacamole! I just happen to know it's a favorite of many of you too.
I've been making homemade guacamole for awhile now. Last week I finally remembered to take photos so I could share the recipe with you.
It's totally a favorite around here!
Everyone's Favorite Guacamole Recipe
There's nothing like fresh guacamole and chips! This guac is easy to whip up in a hurry.
15 minPrep Time
15 minTotal Time
- 2 ripe avocados
- 1 plum tomato, diced
- 1/4 cup diced red onion
- a few snips cilantro
- juice of 1/2 a lime
- salt to taste
- Cut avocados in half, set the pit aside and mash with a fork in a medium sized bowl.
- Add tomato, onion, cilantro, lime juice and salt. Stir.
- Serve with corn chips or even rice crackers (great alternative if you can't tolerate corn). Enjoy!
If you are preparing this for company (to prevent browning/oxidization) place reserved pit on top of guacamole and cover tightly with plastic wrap, pressing plastic to surface of guacamole.
I may or may not have been know to eat guacamole with crackers for lunch. Just sayin'.
P.S. Check out our other recipes here.
P.P.S. If you're looking a healthy tasty snack, our friend Lucy's quinoa & brown rice flour wraps, cut in triangles and toasted in the oven would make a tasty addition to our guacamole. 🙂
