It's so hard to not get bogged down trying to do it all during the Holidays, isn't it?
So here are 4 easy paper Holiday crafts that anyone can do – even the kids!
Joy Pinwheel Banner
- 15 pages of sheet music
- Scotch tape
- Glue gun and glue sticks
- Computer and printer
- Paper and a cereal box or card stock
- Mod Podge (or white glue)
- Foam brush
- Coarse glitter
- Jute or hemp string
- Clothes pins (mini or regular sized)
- Cookie sheet covered in tin foil to contain glitter and mess (optional)
To make these pinwheels, fold sheet music (or old book pages) accordion style. Attach 2 -4 paper “fans” together to make pinwheel. Hot glue with card stock square in back and attach glitter letters (either purchased or homemade).
Embellished Joy Canvas
- a canvas
- book pages or sheet music
- Mod Podge
- brown paper bags
- sheet of paper
- black marker or paint marker
- glue stick
- foam brush
Simply Mod Podge or glue vintage sheet music to canvas and then make flowers from paper bags. Sketch a faux calligraphy “Joy” on top of pages.
Fancy Paper Chain Garland
- sheet music/book pages
- scotch tape
Cut lengths of paper from sheet music or book pages. Use pinking shears or fancy scrapbook scissors for prettier edges. Tape each length together while looped through previous piece to create a chain. Use to hang on the mantel or to trim a tree.
Paper Napkin Rings
- paper of your choice
- clear tape
Even though the photo shows “give thanks” and traditional Thanksgiving messages, you could customize these simple paper napkin rings to say just about anything for any Holiday.
Simply print out several sayings you love and cut them into rectangles. Secure around napkins with scotch tape.
