Searching for Inspiration

Ah, January. How I love your grey, rainy, snowy, uninspiring days. NOT!

via Design Mom

While I certainly don’t feel all blah and depressed, I am struggling to find some inspiration for projects. To feel like working on something. To feel like making a mess of supplies and camera equipment.

DIY Pillow via Wit & Whistle

I think the trouble is that we’ve just come out of mega holiday decorating and projects. And a birthday party. And I don’t feel like tackling a big project just yet. But that’s all that is on our list for 2012 so far – big projects.

  1. Shelves for living room
  2. Open storage shelves in the kitchen
  3. Patio
  4. Driveway (it’s full of potholes)
  5. Quarter Round in Living Room/Dining Room
  6. Baseboard in our bedroom

And so on.

So what’s a girl to do when she needs inspiration? Go looking for it, of course. ‘Cause if you look for it, it will come. Or was that “if you build it, they will come”? Hmm. :)

PB Inspired Burlap Placemats via Pickles and Cheese

Anyway, nothing like some new images to spark some inspiration. Don’t ya think?!

Where do you go for inspiration? What projects are working on? Big or Small?

    I hate you! :)

    So jealous!!!

Have you ever tried to make your own stencil!

My problem is this: I would like to to do the same thing using the alphabet of my mother language “Berber” (The alphabet is known as Tifinagh).

Would you know how to make a stencil??
I would be so so so grateful! :)

Wow. I’m afraid making a stencil isn’t something we’ve tackled yet. The only way I’ve heard how is with a Cricut or other vinyl machine. All the best!
