Jen transformed this space by, re-painting, re-purposing, shopping thrift stores, estate sales and flea markets. She used a neutral palette and lots of textures to keep it soft and soothing. Storage was a must for this room so Jen used lots of baskets for hiding toys & little boy essentials. She also took full advantage of the furniture pieces by also using them for storage.
Jen was able to make this room pretty and functional for a family on a very small budget, realizing along the way that style doesn’t have to break the bank. Visit City Farmhouse for the rest of the pretty thrifty family room tour plus all the sources and DIYs.
