Our Faith and Free Easter Printables

This weekend we celebrate the death and resurrection of our LORD and Savior Jesus Christ of Nazareth.

We don’t celebrate cute little bunnies or the deliciousness of chocolate. Although those things are good. But they are the created, not the Creator.

We haven’t talked much about our faith here on the blog because AKA Design is about decorating, DIY projects and home. And quite frankly I was more worried about offending someone than I was about sharing what I am called to share through my life, my work and my words.

But yesterday I began to experience freedom unlike any I have ever known in my entire life. I will not go into the details here, but I will say that things that have burdened me and haunted me – either from the day I was born or sometime after that – are no longer around. And it feels really really good.

Because of that we will be celebrating Easter with a very real, very thankful zealousness this year. And I hope beyond hope (and pray desperate prayers) that you will be celebrating that way too.

And if you don’t have a place to be on Sunday morning at 10 AM, Dean and I would love to have you join us at our home church to celebrate Easter in COLOUR. Just shoot us a message or leave us a comment and we’d be happy to meet you at the doors!

With much love…

Thank you for sharing your talent, freely, and your testimony. I have printed the He Is Risen and framed it to add to the sacredness of our Easter. P

It’s very refreshing to find printables and decorations depicting the true meaning of Easter. Thank you for not being afraid to share your story and your creativity with us! I hope you and your family have a blessed Easter :)

I have always enjoyed your website, but I LOVE it now! In this day, when Christians seem to be the only ones allowed to be discriminated against for their beliefs, it is refreshing to find someone willing to stand up for their faith. I pray that your family will continue to be blessed, and please know that you bless us all so much by generously sharing your time and talents!

    Happy Easter,
    Desiree :)

the last few years we have been pulling away from the easter bunny. the only time it gets a little difficult ( with our four children) is when their friends talk about what they are doing/did. I think christians have forgotten the true meaning of Passover/Easter. I love your printables and your honesty.
Silly bunny, Easters for Jesus 😉
