As promised, this post is about the redone mirror that we redid for our Master Bedroom. Can’t break a promise, now can I?
When we did our buffet and hutch revamp project, we were left with some unnecessary mirrors, seen here in the original buffet (masquerading as a dresser) kijiji photo.
After pondering what to do with them – I almost gave them away entirely – until I was inspired by Miss Mustard Seed’s mirror.
So the first thing I did with ours, was to take off the two side mirrors. Since our mirror wasn’t quite the antique find that the lovely Marian’s was, I purchased and glued on a little accent piece at the top. Then I painted on some Behr paint, colour matched from Beauti-Tone’s Quayside (leftover from the armoire project). And some glaze. And some more paint. And glaze. And…well you get the rather layered picture!
Here’s what our version ended up looking like:

(Excuse the dirt on the mirror…it would seem I missed a spot. Shame.)
Since it was an almost free project, I think it turned out pretty well! What do you think?
