Some Fridays we have a little extra fun at {aka}|design – because we share five random things from our week: design inspiration, amazing etsy shops, fun family stuff. Sometimes we just share things that were amusing. In any case, Friday Five it is!
1. We were totally stoked to recieve this package of Miss Mustard Seed Milk Paint in the mail yesterday!!! I SO wish it were in the cards for us to sell the Milk Paint line, unfortunately as of yet I haven’t figured out how we’d manage that! But we CANNOT WAIT to mix some of this up and transform some furniture with it!

2. Along the same transformation lines, we were asked to participate in the Fall Homeshow Habitat for Humanity DIY Upcycle Challenge. The idea is to take something found at a Habitat Restore and upcycle it into something else. Here is our Before. Watch for more details and our project progress! (We CANNOT WAIT to show you what we’re turning this into!)

3. The new Ikea catalog is here! Yay! And Ikea is having a Pin It to Win It contest on Pinterest. The idea is that you Pin your favourite pages from IKEA Canada’s Pinterest boards to your own boards and then Ikea will draw one winner every day until August 26th. Winners will receive an IKEA Canada gift card worth $100 for one of the items on their board! Check it out on Ikea’s Pinterest Page.
