So much reno craziness happenin’ around here! Our house is a wreck. Ack. We’re eating, reading, watching tv, doing schoolwork and hanging out in our master bedroom right now. I can hardly stand all the family togetherness.
With our pending room redesign, I’ve been thinking a lot about styling bookshelves and tabletops lately. The new living and dining rooms at our house will be full of colour, but a little neutral texture will help to balance the space. Which brings me to these beauties.

Dean and Shannon
Bonus Tip: If you want to make your bookshelves a little less random with actual keeper books, you can turn them backwards (spine in). Presto! All you see is pages, instead of a mish-mash of colours and styles!

Very cool! Thanks, Shannon!

I love this idea! I found you through the Fence! I actually blogged about this same idea a few weeks ago, except I just took the spines off some books that I probably won’t read again. I have quite a few bundles all over my house. I love them! You can also tea stain books for an “antiqued” look. Love your blog!
