You’ve all seen our big comfy couch, yes?
And we’ve mentioned that it has a double pull out bed in it too, yes? Which makes it QUITE HEAVY.
Well, can you imagine it being carried into the house (in two pieces) by two guys, around corners and all?
Now picture the ceiling light fixture inside the front door being smashed when said couch was being brought in from the delivery truck.
Yeah. Good times.
Anyway, aside from a now-needed new front entry light fixture, there are a few other lights that we plan to replace in the Backsplit. But we don’t want to have to make the time to drive all the way into the City (a whopping 45 minutes or so) and we don’t want to pay for shipping from one of those great U.S. lighting places that John & Sherry or Emily love.
So we bring you

Do you have any light fixtures that need changing? Any beauties catch your eye?

Some great choices. I still need to change most of the lights in my home. We were just in the states and those barn light pendants are about half the price of these. So unfair.:(
I know, I know!!!
I love your choices! My living room lacks overhead lighting. Any suggestions?
We suddenly have the same issue at this house! We make use of end table lamps, plus the dining room is open to the living room so we turn on that light as well. There are also some gorgeous floor lamps that ‘overarch’ a space and you can find ceiling lights that plug in at places like Ikea.
Oh yes – I have lots of lighting to replace in our ‘new to us’ home too! We have a lot of these very um ‘unique’ wrought iron/yellow glass fixtures very Southwest looking! I also have a lot of ‘boob’ lights I need to replace too! Have fun selecting your lights for your home!
Lol. I think this is the first house we haven’t had any boob lights!!!
Great choices Shannon. Light fixtures can be so expensive, but have high impact.
Very true…they are like the jewellery of a room!
