I could spend hours and hours, Starbucks in hand, wandering around Chapters. I adore books and magazines and as much as I’d love to say that I enjoy hanging out in the library, I would much rather peruse the newness at the book store. Know what I mean?
Lately though, trips to Chapters have me drooling over dreaming about all the gorgeous things they have – for the home! And all that drooling dreaming has me thinking of creating tablescapes like this one:
This pretty little white jug is perfect for serving ice cold water at any meal – from the fanciest sit down dinner to an informal picnic, it would fit right in!
Y’all know how much I love tea, right? This mug is the perfect neutral textured white – could be for coffee too, I suppose.
Who doesn’t love white napkins? (If you get good ones, you really can get the stains out in the wash!) The stitched detailing on these ones adds such an elegant country touch.
Don’t you just love the texture in this serving bowl?! Gah!
Typically it’s pretty easy to find a dozen mason jars at places like Canadian Tire or Walmart in the fall. But what if it’s not canning season or you just want one, not a dozen? How about if you need an odd number? Problem solved!
Pair canvas with typography and you get this fabulous bread basket!
Seagrass spheres make great sculptural bowl fillers all year round – whether your “bowl” is a wire basket, metal pail or a white ceramic dish. Or just scatter a few down the centre of your table for some of that great seagrass texture.
Need something to hold down the napkins for an outdoor soiree? How about this unique botanical paperweight?
I think I’ll be paying a little more attention to the Home Section next time I’m in Chapters and I’ll definitely be keeping my eyes peeled for sales on the website – especially with Free Shipping On Orders Over $25!

That tablescape is stunning! That jug is stunning too! I don’t know why I really have this obsession with white textured plates and serving pieces. They just look so classy and pretty.

Chapters is such a great place! We can spend hours there, reading and just looking through stuff. They have a pretty awesome sale as well.
