Ever heard of BOGS, I mean?
NO?
Up until a few weeks ago, neither had we.
Not until we got an email asking if we’d like to try them out. Apparently someone thought they’d be perfect for us to wear while DIY-ing.
That person was totally right.
With awesome features like stretchy rubber waterproof outsides, coziness ratings to keep tootsies warm (from temperate to sub-zero temperatures), grippy non-slip outsoles and contoured sockliners (with antimicrobial odor protection for stinky feet!), we totally couldn’t help but LOVE BOGS!

Dean wears steel-toed boots all day long at work. When he comes home he wears manly slippers {had to add the manly part in there!}. When he is working on a project, he usually wears an old pair of running shoes. Not anymore. Now he wears these:
If he’d stay still long enough, I’d take a photo of him actually wearing them. Easy to say, tough to do.

I personally wear slippers all day at home {NOT the manly type!}. And I too would wear old running shoes when it was time to get my DIY on. Not anymore. I like these babies…
Because BOGS are so funky and totally comfortable, we can wear them to run to the hardware store when we forget something or to do yard work and some DIY-ing. I’ve also worn mine to the grocery store on a rainy day, the mud-filled park on a spring day and running errands on a sunny day too. My feet were snuggly, dry and happy! SCORE!
I also have to add that initially Dean requested a pair of boots which ended up not fitting. Rather than waste money by shipping the too-big pair back, BOGS told us to gift them to someone! Holy cow! How cool did we feel giving away a brand new pair of work boots?! Um, pretty cool!
Okay, you wanna know the deets? Yes, we received free footwear. And yes, we totally love them! We’ve told you guys a hundred times how much we love you, so we’d never promote something we don’t totally love too. ‘Cause well that would just be dumb. And mean. Which we are not. We are new BOGS lovers and we wanted to share.

What footwear do you wear to DIY? Have you ever heard of BOGS? What’s your favourite pair?
I got a pair for Christmas this year. They are great for gardening, and for watching our daughter at rowing regattas in wet chilly spring and fall weather. My husband who is a sailor loves the fact that they are waterproof and WARM too!
That is the best part – the warm + waterproof!!!
My son has worn BOGS the last two winters- the same pair! They wear so well. I love them! They keep his feet warm and more importantly- DRY! I have been thinking of buying a pair for gardening and yard work this spring. And I think this post seals the deal on that decision.
