Recipe: {Un-Fried} Pickles

Have you ever had fried pickles? Deep fried pickles with Ranch dip? So tasty! But so not good for you. Not healthy (hello! deep fried!) and certainly not gluten free. So I made these to satisfy a dill pickle craving {no, not what you think – I just LOVE dill pickles!} and they’re healthier and can be made gluten free.

Un-Fried Pickles

  • 4-6 Strub’s Full Sour Kosher Pickles
  • 1 C. flour
  • 1 egg
  • 1 C. bread crumbs
  1. Preaheat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly spray a cookie sheet with cooking spray.
  2. Cut pickles in spears.
  3. Put flour, egg and bread crumbs into three shallow bowls.
  4. Dredge pickle spear in flour, then egg, then coat in bread crumbs. Place on cookie sheet. Repeat until all spears are coated.
  5. Bake in oven for about 15 minutes, turning once.

GLUTEN FREE TIP: I used Namaste Perfect Flour Blend and Kinnikinnick Bread Crumbs so my pickles were gluten free.

Serve with ranch dip. DELISH!
