One of the blogs I read on a regular basis is the blog of Canadian House & Home magazine’s Michael Penney (whose own house was just featured in the June issue of H&H). I first saw Michael in person at the 2010 Princess Margaret Showhome working his magic on an Ikea cabinet.
I’m pretty sure Michael has my dream job; working at a design magazine putting together stylish rooms and vignettes all the while making them reachable ($) for the average person. Recently he’s stepped it up a notch – and taken on another dream job of mine – and become a guest on the Marilyn Dennis Show.
My favourite bit is where Michael and Marilyn (whom I’ve adored since the original Cityline) chat it up about some Fab Finds that each cost less than $50! And many of them can be found at everyday places like Loblaws/Superstores! You can watch the clip here.
(Yes, Marilyn is sniffing place mats! Michael said something about them smelling like his childhood?!)
