I know I’ve shown you some of these photos already. And maybe you’re sick of our living room and dining room makeovers? But when I was preparing a before and after photo document for our insurance company this morning (for proof we fixed everything after the ice damming), I realized it would make a great post. Since seeing before and after photos side-by-side is so thrilling, don’t ya think!?!
Before #1: This was the week we moved in in November 2009.
Craziness. Also much yellow (see even trim is yellow) and ugliness
(wayyyy retro curtains that still smelled like the 70′s!)!
Before #2: This was last summer. We’d painted and reorganized. Also new curtains.
What you can’t see is the heart cutouts on the coffee table
from it’s past life as a cutesy country coffee table!
After #1: This was after a couple of furniture redoes – the tv armoire and the coffee table.
Circa Christmas 2010.
After #2: Now. After an ice-damming leak and subsequent repairs.
{Very} bright new paint (which we LOVE!), new lights, new board and batten, new floors.
There will still be an after #3 – we’re waiting on an area rug
and a new (pull-out) couch. The couch will go where the bench is.

The room looks great! Love the new flooring makes a huge difference in the entire room
I’m like you room progression is a must – it takes a while to get all the ‘kinks’ out and know how you’ll sue the room etc…
