Honestly this has been stupid tough. It’s not like I can’t pick colours. But I have been SO stumped by our own Master Bedroom. I want soothing and relaxing. (Our living room has plenty of vibrant colour for the whole house!) And Dean wants nothing to do with choosing colours this time ’round. Apparently that’s my thing. {I guess that means he’s stuck with whatever I pick!}
So here is the new Inspiration Board for our room. It’s serene, calm and kind of classy – with a wee bit of shabby chic and modern country thrown in for even more R&R.
Featured items:
- Ikea Lesvik dresser and nightstand
- White poofy comfy duvet
- Large white step-back-style cupboard for linens
- Vintage brass chandelier, sprayed white
- Metal ball table lamps – Bouclair
- Stenciled feature wall – a DIY project if I ever there was one!
- Boudoir Pillows, throw - Bouclair
- dedeetsyshop linen rose pillow
Previously, the evolution of our room’s mood boards have gone a little like this (partly because I’m trying to be economical and use some of what we have/were gifted).

What do you think? What colours/style do you like for your master bedroom?

I LOVE your ideas. Cozy and sophisticated, like a really fabulous B&B. And isn’t that what a master bedroom should feel like?
Thank you, Christine! Ahhhh, b&b!! Love! S.
Where do you find Van Gogh’s Almond Blossoms on canvas. I’m thinking of that one for my bathroom.
