Since I wrote that post in September, I’ve kept my eyes open at the thrift stores for some cloche goodness. It took a bit of time. I thought I found one once…but alas it was plastic and not glass. Then when hubby and I were wandering the second-hand shoppes a couple of weeks ago we found this:
Marble, glass and only $5! Quality piece, small price. I’ll take it!
My intention isn’t to use it for food, so I sprayed painted the heavy marble bottom. First with some gray primer and then with some semi-gloss white.
And I’m waiting for this pretty little thing to put inside the cloche, once again from etsy.com (I think I’m addicted!). This time a find from dearjes shop.
